  1. HOW DO I BEGIN THE FRANCHISE APPLICATION PROCESS?

  2. DO I NEED PREVIOUS RETAIL STORE EXPERIENCE TO BECOME A FRANCHISEE?

    Not required. The requirement are passion to suceed and resources to put up franchisee store and administrative capability to operate the store

  3. ARE SINGLE AND MULTI-UNIT OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE?

    Generally, we advice to start with 1 unit & profits generated, from that invested into opening more units.

  4. WHAT TYPE OF MANAGEMENT TEAM AND TRAINING IS REQUIRED?

    Derby provides on-going regional support and a variety of training resources to assist the franchisee through Derby Radio, In store promotions & publicity, management training.

  5. HOW LONG DOES THE ENTIRE PROCESS TAKE TO BECOME A FRANCHISEE?

    The time needed to become a franchisee in a month.

  6. WHO PROVIDES AND PAYS FOR ADVERTISING AND PROMOTIONAL ITEMS?

    Any brand advertising that covers the national campaigns through newspapers, Television & Digital will be done solely by the brand Derby. During any promotional scheme that involves gifting to customers to increase purchase value, there will be a 50% – 50% cost sharing between the brand and the franchise partner. Derby will be responsible for providing the main signage letter for the retail storefront, all In Store VM posters, brand carries bags, salesman uniform & salesman target achievement incentives.

  7. WHO SELECTS THE LOCATION FOR A NEW RETAIL STORE?

    The property selecting process for Derby is done jointly by franchisee partner & the Derby team in locations that will be suitable for ensuring profitable store operations.

    The criteria are generally:

    • Idle store store size will be 600-1000 sft, Located on ground floor with a minimum frontage of 15ft.
    • There should be an ample car park & bike park
    • It should be located in retail high street which has a flow of customers & upmarket look and feel.
  8. IS THE FRANCHISEE REQUIRED TO PURCHASE INTERIORS AND SUPPLIES FROM THE FRANCHISOR OR OTHER DESIGNATED SUPPLIERS?

    Derby over the years has been working with quality, consistent & timely delivery vendors who are able to deliver store interiors on time as the project demands. We recommend that the franchisee partner, to only use the services of the nominated vendors after satisfying themselves on the price quotation & deliverables.

  9. IS THERE ANY CHANCE TO SELL THE OTHER BRAND PRODUCTS?

    Derby is an exclusive brand store & only goods & merchandise supplied by brand will be allowed.
